Biography

Vicki worked in church planting in England's new towns, in education in Eire, followed by 16 years with Scripture Union Scotland training children's workers and developing Urban Priority ministries and was their Training and Resources Director until coming to ICC in 2000.

She is an advocate of children with VIVA Network, 3D Drumchapel, WSF Uganda, and various denominational groups.  She also likes to visit projects which support children in different parts of the world – Uganda, Ethiopia, India, Romania, Thailand, Hong Kong – and is a founding member of the Global Holistic Child Development Association.

Vicki is involved in the development of training and academic research in the area of holistic child development and of children in crisis, and has assisted two such organizations in Uganda.

She also set up the annual Children At Risk course, a week long summer training course for practitioners.  After 6 years and in partnership with others - OASIS and Crisis Care  and supported by VIVA Network - adaptable training materials for those working with children in crisis, street children and HIV/aids children are now available.  A training for trainers is being planned to further multiply and contextualize the training.
