John is from the USA and is married to Julia (from Germany). He is a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and Boston University.
John came to ICC in 2006 from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (in Belgium) where, for eight years, he was involved in studying for the doctorate, research, teaching and ministry in the International Church of Evangelicals in Leuven (ICEL).
John’s Leuven PhD dissertation is published under the title, Jesus’ Death and the Gathering of True Israel: The Johannine Appropriation of Jewish Restoration Theology (Tübingen: Mohr-Siebeck 2006). He has also been involved in research and teaching concerning pseudo-Christian cults.
John enjoys the guitar, good music in general and good coffee (the “good” is defined only by him of course!)
