Biography

Ministry with OMF International since 1980 took Derek and his family to Indonesia to work with the Torajanese Church and University in Sulawesi for 9 years.  This was followed by further study in the UK for Masters and Doctorate in New Testament Studies at the University of Sheffield. 

For 6 years Derek worked at Asian Theological Seminary in Manila as New Testament Lecturer and Dean for Faculty whilst his wife Audrey took on the role of Director for International Students and Chaplain to Ladies.  Their two sons, Michael and Stephen, share Derek's interest in football, fishing and travel. 

Derek is seconded to ICC from OMF International, and as part of their secondment arrangement he and Audrey currently make short teaching trips each year to different parts of Asia.
