Biography

David is a Reader and Vice-Dean (Resources and Marketing) for the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde.  He works in the area of pressure equipment, computer aided analysis and biomechanics.  He is the Scottish Chair of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, British Standards Committee for Pressure Equipment Design and serves on a number of EU/ worldwide research committees and on the editorial boards of leading journals.

He was converted in 1979 through the Navigators and worshipped at St George’s Tron Church.  He and his wife, Christine, have fellowshipped at New Prestwick Baptist Church since 1980 where he has been Secretary for the past 10 years.  They have served in many roles over the years and are enjoy new opportunities in outreach serving in music ministry with Broken Chains, a work amongst the homeless and those with addictions based in Ayr.

David believes ICC is strategically placed in Glasgow, Scotland for the preparation of men and women for world wide service at all levels – and its geographic location gives it the added advantage being close to a major Scottish University.
