Biography

Audrey's professional career as a nurse (RGN) and midwife (SCM) began in Edinburgh, took her to London, Israel and West Africa and finally to All Nations Christian College (Herts). After two years at ANCC she emerged with a grounding in theological and mission studies and with a husband, Derek. They joined OMF International in 1980 and thereafter spent many years in various parts of the Far East during which time their two sons were born.

Audrey's overseas experience has included teaching English, health education and some subjects in relation to religious/Christian education. She was director for International students at the Asian Theological Seminary (Manila, Philippines) where mentoring and support of students was a major part of her role.

Nowadays, and with two further theology degrees (BA Theology and MTh in Biblical Interpretation), Audrey is seconded by OMF International to ICC where she is involved in teaching in the BA programme. The secondment arrangement also involves her in frequent trips to Asia where she is still involved in teaching at the Asian Theological Seminary and other places in the Far East.
She enjoys family, the outdoors, music, cycling (she is always just about to get the bike out!), reading, pottering in the kitchen ... and listening out for what is happening in the medical/nursing world.
