Distance Learning

Certificate of Christian Studies

No application fee required.

Tuition Fee per single course: £215. This non refundable amount is required in full in advance and covers the cost of the study guide and tutorial support but excludes textbook costs.

Tuition Fee for 6 courses (comprising the Certificate of Christian Studies): £1100. This must be made in a single non refundable payment, and the courses must be completed within 5 years of the date of registration. This amount covers study guides and tutorial support but excludes textbook costs.

Church of Scotland Reader Training

No application fee is required.

Tuition Fee for the 4 core courses: £260 per course. This non refundable amount is required in full in advance and covers the cost of the course study guide, tutorial support and a college based study day in each of the 4 courses. This amount excludes textbook costs.

Tuition Fee for the 2 supplementary courses: £215 per course. This single non refundable amount is required in full in advance and covers the cost of the study guide and tutorial support but excludes textbook costs.

Alternatively, a reduced fee for all 6 courses can be made in a single advance non refundable payment of £1250. This amount covers all study guides, tutorial support and the 4 college based study days but excludes textbook costs.

Distance Learning students have membership of the Grogan Library included in their fees.
 

University of Aberdeen Annual Payment

These registration fees are payable at the commencement of each year. Payable annually for registration on the BA Theology, BA Youth & Community Work with Applied Theology and taught Masters programmes.

Full-time or half-time study (undergraduate, 4 courses or more p.a.): £147.50
Part-time study (undergraduate, less than 4 courses p.a.): £65

Taught Masters programme students pay the part-time fee.

Prices include heat and light but exclude food and laundry.

Grants

Many UK students are eligible for a student grant from the Student Awards Agency for Scotland (if they have been resident in Scotland for three years or more) or from their Local Authority for full-time study. Many students are also eligible for student loans. Please note that the student grant does not cover the full tuition fee. Student loan forms are available through the SAAS or Student Finance England/NI/Wales.
