Cross-Cultural Ministry
Students who are preparing to work in cross-cultural settings may well wish to take this specialism.
It enables students to gain a solid Biblical, theological and historical foundation to their practical and cross-cultural study, and at the same time to develop the awareness of the missionary nature of so much of Biblical and theological study.
Students who do the specialism take all the core courses within the BA Theology programme. As well as this, they also take three courses which are core to the specialism during level II and level III.
Students in level II take a placement which runs throughout the year in a cross-cultural ministry setting in Scotland. In level III students take an Extended Placement. This may either be taken overseas during the summer vacation, or in a cross-cultural setting within Scotland, over the course of the year. This gives students the opportunity to
develop practical skills in cross-cultural ministry as well as theoretical ones.
Students who complete the programme will receive the award of BA Theology with Cross-Cultural Ministry. Students who do not complete the full three years of the course may still take Mission Studies courses and other relevant cross-cultural courses in Levels I and II, while students on the BA Theology course not taking the specialism may still take any Mission Studies courses that they wish.

"The situation is challenging - often alarming - but at ICC it is our conviction that it offers a God-given opportunity to recover a fully biblical understanding of the church and its calling in the world."
